Rylee And Shane Need Our Help

Donation protected
A true nightmare has come to haunt us. My Daughter Rylee and Son in Law Shane have lost their new born baby boy Shane Jett Beers-Burman. None of us know how to even grasp the upcoming days and the tasks that need to be taken care of and the work that we are missing. I’ve asked Rylee to write a few words so I can help her with some of this. These are her words.....“On October 4th at 10 am, it was decided to induce my labour. Almost immediately the contractions began and by 2 pm they were close enough together that it was time to head back to the hospital. This was the day we waited so long for... we were going to meet our sweet baby boy. Upon arrival I was 3-4 cm dilated and was given pain meds until I could get my epidural. Finally around 7:30 I was 8 cm and ready for the epidural. The relief was instant but it also slowed my labour, finally at 11:30 I was 10 cm and the doctor arrived and gave me the ok to push. The epidural was wearing off but I pushed for a solid 2 hours, he became lodged in the birth canal and an incision had to be made to get him out. Now this is where as a mom it gets very hard to talk about... they put him on my chest, he was lifeless and had no colour. I kept asking what was wrong with him. Within seconds they were calling a code and the room was swarmed with doctors and nurses. It took them 2 minutes to get a heartbeat but he still wasn’t breathing. They took him to intensive care and placed him on a ventilator. At this point we had no idea what was happening, it was decided he would be transferred to Sick Kids for cold stimulation because Orillia does not offer that... we knew Sick Kids would be the best place for him to get well. More tests came back and it was presented to us that he had minimal brain activity and he could just not recover from the lack of oxygen. At that point we made a decision that no parent ever wants to make. You want the very best in life for your child, and as much as it broke our hearts we decided to turn off the ventilator. That was the only way to bring peace to our sweet baby boy. Shane Jett Beers-Burman passed peacefully with his family by his side. He was greeted on the other side by his grandparents David Burman and Inara Burman, along with my dear friend Mariah Simcoe and his great grandpa. We knew he would be flooded with love with all the angels he had guiding his way. I don’t like to ask for help but we are short on funds to cover the cost of putting our son to rest. We ask if our family, friends and community could help us at this difficult time it would be appreciated. He was our first baby, the love of our life and I need to keep him beside me forever. My heart and soul hurts, I am so lost without this sweet child that I just spent the last nine months with. Shane and I appreciate everything everyone has done to try and help us through this.“Your wings were ready, Our hearts were not
